How Are Fuel Prices Composed?
- Product Price – The actual value of the fuel
- Energy Tax – Fixed amount per liter (approx. 65 cents for gasoline)
- CO2 Price – Additional fee for CO2 emissions since 2021
- VAT – 19% on the total price
- Margin – Contribution for trade and transport
E10 vs. Super E5
E10 contains up to 10% bioethanol and is usually cheaper than Super E5. Most vehicles from 2000 onwards can use E10 without problems. Check your vehicle manufacturer's specifications if in doubt.
Why Do Prices Fluctuate?
